peace and happiness for the last 28 years. Turning 40 was pivotal for her. She was the mom to 3 teenage children & 2 babies and her mom passed away that year. She started to search for some answers. The answers didn’t come easily. Then again, neither did the questions. Then she experienced yoga. With yoga she was able to maintain her sanity. She worked with her “wasband” so there really wasn’t any space away from the chaos. No matter how crazy the day, once she got on her mat she knew she’d feel better. When the shit really hit the fan, she enlisted the help of a second job, acupuncture, reiki, psychotherapy, rolfing, psychics, movement, books…lots of books. Some resonated more than others but none hurt her process. It took her a long time to climb out of the rabbit hole - because that’s the thing about rabbit holes, you never know how far in you are until you’re out of it. Ultimately, she spent almost a year just sitting with herself. She needed to learn how to listen, how to go within and reacquaint herself with herself. It was painful, scary at times, vulnerable, and lonely. But so worth it. As a embodied wellness guide, Barb is committed to sharing helpful tools and information that will aid women in reaching their goals and objectives. Her desire with The Illuminated Lady is to collaborate through support, love, and compassion with every woman who feels like she is stuck, afraid, and just not embodying her most authentic self.
