What Might Be Coming

A Gentle Note Before You Read
I write this not from fear, but from love — not as a warning, but as a reflection on where we are and where we may be heading. I’ve always seen myself as an optimist, someone who believes in the good and in our capacity to rise together. What follows is not meant to frighten, but to invite awareness, compassion, and preparation of the heart. These are my own observations, shared in the spirit of honesty and hope.

I don’t consider myself to be a conspiracy theorist, a dooms day believer or even someone with a negative mindset.  I see myself as the cup is ALWAYS half full, never half empty kind of person. That said, I do feel like we are in for some rough times ahead. You know what they say, a little knowledge can be scary and ignorance can be bliss. While that may be the way I would have reacted a few years back, now - I don’t think that’s a luxury I am afforded.  There’s too much at stake. Humanity requires more from me.

I’ve been spending a lot of time listening, learning and formulating an opinion (while it’s only mine) that leaves me concerned and hopeful in equal measure for what’s coming. We’ve been hearing about how we’ve entered the Aquarian Age. A transition out of the Age of Pisces into an age of greater equality, progress and collective consciousness. Of course, this is not an instantaneous shift but more of a transitional wave of change.

It seems to me those that thrived in the Piscean Age are holding onto any vestige of power and control that they can. Flowing into a new age with an emphasis on spiritual evolution, inner wisdom, new forms of education, innovation all centered around “the good of the group” disrupts the power over - power under society that we have lived with all of our lives. Equality, while it can and should lead to a happier society, is in it’s infancy stage. So long as it hasn’t firmly rooted into our lives (just yet), its going to struggle to find its center, it’s grounding. It didn’t come with a playbook, or a “how to” set of instructions - so most are trying to figure it out on the fly all while the boundaries are being pushed farther and farther to a breaking point.

What we are witnessing, between what seems to me to be an escalation of gun violence, ICE invading cities, human rights reversed, wage gaps wider than its ever been, possibility of war -  is anything but “for the good of the group” - its more of hunker down for the apocalypse. Or like what was predicted for last week “the Rapture” - stayed tuned as we are still here and maybe they just got the date wrong.

This is not political, its human. I have long given up on government - its a system that is not for the people. At least not for all the people - granted some are faring fine, and never have to think about the inequality of life, liberty or the pursuit of happiness.  So do we need change? - oh most definitely  - will it be easy? - absolutely not.

Its going to be up to each one of us to begin to see the other through eyes that hold nothing but compassion, acceptance and a willingness to listen. That’s a tall order  - or is it really. What would it take to live as we are all one of something far greater than each of us individually? There’s more feeling disenfranchised, isolated, and lonely - and as long as that continues there can be no peace or harmony. For when one suffers we all suffer. And we have to admit this is an angry planet - there is no pretending everything is fine and it might get worse before it gets better.

There are many directions to point those fingers, but at the end of the day none of it matters - we are where we are. What’s going to play out on the global, financial and economic front is already in motion. We will need to proceed with composure, a willingness to help, to share and come together. To be resources for each other. Many have already seen the writing on the wall and have started community homesteads, sustainable living and farming, embracing a simpler way of life. Not necessarily an easier way but a more harmonious way with the planet and all who rely on her grace.

I believe what’s important now is knowing what’s happening  - because a lot is happening  - its not a time to panic but a time to understand we are in very different times from anything we’ve ever experienced. And we will get through it- hopefully without much inconvenience  - although that remains to be seen! Fingers crossed and a ton of optimism. Stay tuned…..

A Closing Note
If these words feel heavy, let them also remind you that you are not alone in holding them. None of us are meant to carry the weight of the world by ourselves. What steadies me is knowing that even in uncertain times, small acts of kindness, compassion, and presence ripple farther than we imagine.

So breathe. Rest where you can. Do what is within reach. The Spiral of change is carrying us, and together we will rise with it.
